Beauty

The boys are mesmerized by her.

Luke asked to be first. He commented on her soft skin and how tiny she is. He said,"She's so cute I want to cry." He gives her a kiss on the head whenever he has the chance.

Gabe has had a lingering cough from a cough a month ago, so he's wearing a mask. He is very careful with her. He's excited to be a big brother.

Clark is curious about her. He's excited about telling people that we have a baby Whitney.

She finally opened her eyes to look around at 12 hours old. I like this picture because you can see how Whitney looks like her birthmom. Whitney has her mouth, nose, eyes, skin tone, and frame. The only features from the Japanese birthdad is her fine black hair and ears.

She's looking at me when I'm saying her name.

First Bow

We feel so blessed to have Whitney join our family. She has a very calming spirit. Sweet soft cry only when she's hungry or soiled. Great eater and sleeper so far. Dream baby. We definitely feel this was the #1 reason we were guided to Saipan.

Nana in Saipan!

We had our FIRST Visitor! My mom!!!
Nana bought the boys the cookie lollipops, that only grandmas would purchase.
Watched wind surfers
Thursday Market
She treated us to pizza and the Hilton brunch. We ate all the best things in Saipan.
The weather was at it's best, breezy and cooler (75-80 low humidity). We went to the WWII memorial museum, saw the sights, played at the beach, got massages, ate great food, and organized my house for the baby.
We are sure glad she came. It was fun. Thanks mom for coming!

Baby Girl!!!!!!!

Someone's missing, our family will soon be complete!
Coming to the Hokie family is a
BABY GIRL!!!!!
We have had the miraculous privilege to meet a beautiful lady here in Saipan who has asked us to be the parents of her unborn baby girl. Her due date is Feb 27, but she had her other 2 children 2 weeks early. So we are planning to be ready by Valentine's Day. This loving Lady has chosen adoption so that this baby could be provided for, and so that she could continue to support and be a great mom to her other children. We plan to name the baby Whitney. She will have brown eyes and dark hair. Her ethnicity is Palauan(Islander)/Japanese. We are overjoyed as we prepare for this sweet bundle. We appreciate all prayers for our family and our birthfamily's behalf. I'll post pictures as soon as I can.
PS I squealed when I found out the baby was a girl.
Hopefully balance out the hokie house a bit!
