It worked for me in the 90's

So the other morning I thought I would try hot rollers in my hair since it's grown so long. I use to do this all the time in high school. This was the result-Super curls.

This is with some taming. Not to bad.

Luckily I can rely on my hair to go completely flat by the end of the day.

And Now We Wait!

We have been approved as an adoptive couple at LDS Family Services. It took us about 4 months to complete all of our paperwork, do interviews, and complete our homestudy.

Wait unknown: average LDS services wait is 1-2 years. Birthparent choose the family they wish to place with, so we will wait to be found.

We are SO EXCITED! Starting on another adoption journey has made me think about Luke's and Gabe's birthmoms and families. We love them so much. They have given us the gift of our family. They are so unselfish, courageous, and full of love. We fill so lucky to have to have them be a part of our lives. Thanks for your support!
Love, Ben and Heather

WE DID IT! 13.1 MILES

We ran the Famous Potato half-marathon May 17th.
Our times:
Ben 1 hour 57 mins.
Heather 2 hours 42 mins.
We've got skills!

Ben's mom, Nancy; sister, Holly; & brother-in-law, Ben ran the race with us.

Holly made this shirt in honor of our favorite show "The Office".

This is the sweet shirt we got for finishing the race.

No, we will not be doing a full marathon next. I'm going to stick to FUN runs like 5Ks or 10Ks. Ben wishes to do a half marathon again and is also thinking of trying street biking.

We've been up to a lot!

Luke is taking Swimming lessons at my Aunt's house. They have a mini farm of horses, cows, hens, chicks, and bunnies. Gabe LOVED the animals. He liked to pet them and make noises at them.

Luke is swimming ALL BY HIMSELF! He is awesome!

We went to the park to fly our kite and play on the playground.

Luke and Ben had a great water fight.

Went to Pocatello for Ben's dad's Graduation with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling. Dan came up from Arizona. It was great to be together for a fun weekend.

Boys will be wild! Especially when left alone with dad while mom was in Utah seeing Becky and her new baby.

Started our garden. Planted potatoes, beans, peas, squash, carrots, spinach, onions, tomates, strawberries, and asperagus.

Ben reading to the boys at bedtime.

Our future Missionaries! Ready for Church.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Ben got me a new camara and video recorder. (We were still in Pocatello on the day.) Ben made Norweign Pancakes for all the mothers in the family. YUMMY! Luke woke up and snuggled with me which was sweet. It was a great day!

April Joy!

Ben's 30th Birthday!

Ben set up a rock band party out of the bowls and utensils Gabe had pulled out of the cupboards. It was a smash! Really! The blue bowl was cracked by the end. Oh well.

Gabe likes to sneak in and play the piano.

Lucas did Soccer camp at the YMCA. He played goalie the last day and blocked 2 goal attempts made by the coach. This is one of them. Good Job Luke!

Gabe loves dancing to music, so I let him try my MP3 player. He spun around and bounced.

Lucas building with Star Wars Legos.

More outside play!

The boys and I went to seeing my sister Becky in Utah. Poor Becky- Two weeks to go- Swollen Feet and a Big tummy. We organized baby stuff and went to garage sales. We laughed our heads off. It was so fun. I wish I could have stayed longer. Can't wait to see our new little newphew.

Car ride back. Gabe actually slept in the car. Hallelujah!
We are also almost done with our adoption papers again-Watch for upcoming blog!

Sun Valley-Sledding

We had an awesome Weekend in SunValley. It's April and there is still snow. We enjoyed it by sledding. It scares me how little fear our boys have. Luke and Gabe were flying down the hill with Ben and Luke loved going down by himself.
Gabe got a free ride up the mountain.

Super Fun!!!
