Weekend in Cascade!

We went to Cascade for the weekend. We had a great time! Our best friends came up to play with us. We played in the snow, swam in the hot pool, visited McCall, played games, and went out for breakfast at the local diner.

I (Heather) craved a snow sculpture of a bear. I was very proud of myself.

Ben scaring me to death. He fell off the roof twice while trying to shovel the snow off. Luckily there's 4 feet of snow to fall on.

My sister and best friend!

So on February 9th my cousin and I threw a baby shower for my sister. She is having a baby boy, due May 15th. It was a lovely shower. I love my sister so much. I love celebrating the joys of life with her!

Grandpa's Funeral

My siblings and me at the funeral.

Holly, my sister-in-law, made this for me. It one of my grandpa's favorite poems. It made my day when I saw it!

Heather's family at the burial.

My grandpa was drafted into the army for WWII when he was still in High School. They let him graduate early so he could go to boot camp. He fought valiantly in Germany where he was injured. He was awarded the purple heart. They had a bugler and soliders at the burial to fold the flag and present it to the family. It was really neat and patriotic. I felt so proud that my grandfather had been apart of sustaining our freedom.

The Happiest Anniversary Ever!

Today is my grandparent's anniversary-Dwight and Betty Farnworth . My Grandma passed away in Sept of 1999. My Grandpa has longed to be with her since. This morning my grandpa passed away and joined his sweetheart for the ultimate anniversary of a wonderful life together.

My Grandpa loved to hold us on his lap and share poems, songs, and stories. He loved to garden and we would play in the yard with the milk carton scoops and ball that he made us. I got a kick out of the garage sale gifts he gave me. He also enjoyed doing woodwork and made us marble ramps and gameboards. My Grandma was a great cook with a full cookie jar for every visit and millions of jarred products that she had canned. She was a great seamstress and made us christmas night gowns and dolls. She gave me my first perm, helped me decorate my first cake, and attended my ballet and music recitals. She gave the best hugs ever. After my grandpa retired from school teaching and my grandma from bookkeeping they served a mission in New York City, served in the temple, and enjoyed their grandchildren. I'm so happy that they are together again for eternity. I love them so much, and will miss them 'til we meet again in heaven.

I love this Guy!

So , I'm really not that great with words, but I just wanted to express how lucky I feel to have Ben as a husband. I feel it so strong today and everyday. I consider him the biggest blessing in my life, and feel so fortunate to feel his love each day. He is not the stereo typical husband. Ben is so attentive and thoughtful. He is always giving all his efforts to making me and the kids happy. This week Gabe has been sick with a cough and I've been stuck at home. Ben wanted to make sure I got a break, so he planned a fun date Friday night. I picked Cheesecake Factory to eat and then we went to a movie. It was so nice to be alone, enjoying each others company. Thanks so much sweetheart! Ben is such a hard worker, and He deserved the break more than I did. It's wonderful to have a great teammate to tackle the responsiblities of our family. I love you! ( I love this picture because I'm actually done up, which is rare. We took it before our date.)

One More

I showed Lucas the blog I just did on his funny faces and that just fed the fire. Here's another from today.

Gabe has become quite the climber. In this picture he is repeating my words, "No,no!" with disguise because he doesn't agree that he shouldn't be able to hit the printer.
