Day 1
Tired
Hot and staying hydrated
Bonzi Cliffs
We made it to Saipan safely!
The flight was exhausting and took endurance, but the kids did well. It took 21 hours with all the flights and layovers. We looked like a circus train with 10 check-ins and 10 carryons It took 5 airport workers to help us get all of our stuff through customs and to the front of the airport. Then Ben's co-worker "D" brought a large van bring us to our temporary apartment. We felt so blessed to have so much help and welcoming arms. It was 1:00 am. The apartment is quite modest. The boys immediately noticed the random ants crawling across the floor, and began killing them. Then Luke screamed when he saw a lizard on the wall. The AC is wonderful. The humidity is thick and its then hot in the middle of the night. They had internet available, which was very nice. We slept until 6:00.
Day 2
Clark and Gabe fell asleep early last night and were wide awake at 4:00am. Went to the market for breakfast food. $4.50 for Life cereal, $3 small rolled oats tube, $2.20 for 12 eggs, $3 syrup. Looked at houses to rent today. Went to the beach. Went to the Street Market for dinner with Ben's co-workers and families. 6 asian sides for $5. Way better then Panda Express! We are finding that the heat really reduces our appetite. Ben's lost 5 lbs already. It's also cheaper to eat whole foods here. This will be good for our health.
