Warning: This is a commercialized Easter celebration at its worst. You may experience feeling of self-righteousness while reading this blog. Haha :)
We Love our Easter traditions!!! Growing up we always got together with my mom's side of the family for egg dying and easter egg hunting. As we got older and we were all teenagers, college kids, and newly weds there was no one that wanted to hunt for eggs anymore. My aunt Ruth and my mom wanted to contine the joy of Easter that my grandma had established, so they started the adult Easter egg hunt and Easter dinner. How did you get adults to run around, search for, and beat each other up for Easter eggs? Put MONEY inside of them! The challenge is to be the one that finds the Golden egg, the jackpot.

Aunt, cousin, and Ben filling eggs with candy and money!

Luke's hand-made basket.

We let the kids do their hunt first.

Who's ready to hunt for Easter eggs. "ME ME ME." (Luke)

Babies go first!

Good pick Gabe! Bunnies equal money.

Luke and cousins are next.

Adult hunt. Yes I'm wearing tennis shoes with my dress. This is serious stuff.

Ben was the winner of the golden egg this year! His got skills.
What a laugh! We have a great time and a great dinner. On a more spiritual note- The choir at church sang great (I lead the choir and Ben sang). Luke learned about the true meaning of Easter. In his words, "They took Jesus' clothes and he only wore his underwear. The bad guys put nails in his hands and feet and he died. Then his body disappeared." And then with some prompting He included that he came alive again. So cute. Well Ben and I do feel so grateful for the gift the Savior has given us. We know He lives and cares for us all!
